Franklin County Deputies nab two burglary suspects on a rural road

Wednesday, Franklin County Deputies reported two suspects are in the Franklin County jail after a homeowner derailed their would-be burglar.

Deputies were summed by a 9-1-1 call from a homeowner on Baart Road, which is in the Basin City area, about a mile northwest of Mesa.

The two suspects, identified as Miguel Garcia-Madrueno of Basin City and Carlos Corona-Garcia of Pasco, were located and captured following their intrusion into the home, one of them was carrying a pistol.

It sounds like perhaps the homeowner was able to hide from them because the two were still inside the home when Deputies arrived.

Are they part of a larger theft ring?

FCSO says it is not yet known if this was an isolated incident, or if it's part of a larger theft operation. Authorities are seeing more organized burglary and fencing operations, many of them intending to raise money for drug purposes.
