It's that time of year again, as area youth baseball teams will be competing for a possible chance to go to the Cal Ripken-Babe Ruth World Series.

June 12 the Washington State 9-U and 10-U State Tournaments will invade Kennewick, at the Kennewick American fields on South Olympia Street.

It's the first round towards the goal of making it towards the World Series, which will be held in August in Indiana. Among the teams competing in the state tournament will be the 9-U and 10-U All-Star teams from Kennewick National and Kennewick American Youth Baseball.

Games will get underway around 10am Thursday July 12. The Kennewick American fields are located at 2201 South Olympia Street in Kennewick, and will run through Sunday. Come by and watch some pretty good little ballplayers have fun!
