Officials at Southern Oregon University (SOU) in Ashland, OR, have cancelled classes for Wednesday.

Not a lot of information has been released yet, but the Ashland Police Chief says the department is investigating, along with help from campus security. The Chief described it as a "potential threat." But no other information released.

Several other Oregon schools have experienced threats following the tragic shooting at Umpqua Community College.  Rogue River Community College was evacuated Monday after a bomb threat, but it turned out to be a hoax.

Officials say anyone who is responsible for such false (or real) threats will be dealt with to the full extent of the law.
