According to data Monday August 3 from the Benton Franklin Health District, the percentage of persons in our four area hospitals with COVID or COVID-like symptoms has dropped another two percent, to 15.1.  That rate is the lowest it's been in several months.

It represents a trend, where the last several weeks, the percentage has been shrinking from around 21-22 percent (but no higher) to 19-20, then 17 percent last week, and finally the 15.1 as of Monday.

Of the 298 persons listed as occupying a bed between Trios, Kadlec, Lourdes and Prosser Memorial, only 45 were COVID related.

Of the two more deaths reported in Benton County, one over 60 the other over 80, both with underlying health complications and issues.
