Monday morning, a bomb sniffing dog thought he smelled something out of the ordinary, but was it a bomb?

The Richland Police Department does routine patrols and checks of the Hanford Nuclear Reservation's mail processing facility.

Around 9:15am, reports the Tri-City Herald, the dog alerted police, and the Bomb Squad was called into the facility at 1932 Butler Loop in Richland. The dog began barking at a cabinet that held multiple packages.

However, after a thorough search, nothing was found, say officials.
