Booze Plus Speeding Puts Teens in Hospital

Kennewick police continue to investigate an early Saturday morning crash that landed two juvenile girls in the hospital, and another male arrested for alcohol.

Police say the vehicle pictured was traveling Eastbound at a very high rate of speed on 27th, and failed to negotiate the roundabout at Vancouver. The car slammed into a light pole at the intersection.

Two girls were taken to TRIOS Southridge ER, one released, the other still under observation. The male driver is facing Vehicular Assault charges, another teen boy was captured after fleeing the scene with a case of beer. One of the girls was charged with minor in possession and consumption of alcohol.
