Car Plunges off Cliff South of Kennewick, Dead Person Found Inside

No word on the identity or gender of the person found inside, but Benton County Deputies are investigating this as a likely suicide.

Around 2:30 PM Thursday, an overturned car was found in the bottom of a quarry off of Bofer Canyon Road, not far from Highway 397.

A deceased person was found inside. The vehicle had dropped off a cliff, approximately 50 feet tall.

According to investigators, the area is not very far from where a 33-year-old man was found dead alongside a road, Hector Cortez Ballardo of Pasco.

No other information has been released since the discovery of the vehicle. The investigation continues.
