Cops Find Out Why Driver Pulled Out The Wrong Way Into Traffic

Drivers headed down Clearwater Thursday night had a double take and a scare when they saw headlights coming right  at them--in their own lanes.

Kennewick police say this truck pulled out from the Walgreen's parking lot westbound onto Clearwater, but it headed into the oncoming eastbound lanes, sending a few cars scattering.  Cops were quickly able to get the driver to pull over in a nearby parking lot, but not before he put wheels over the curb.

54-year-old Derek Hopkins was arrested for probably DUI and could face other driving infractions. Fortunately, no accidents occurred due to the incident.
