Dangerous Fugitive Sought by US Marshals, Area Police

A dangerous fugitive is being sought by US Marshals and area police after an incident Wednesday in Richland.

47-year-old Richard J. Rotter is wanted on outstanding warrants for Escape from Community Custody, related to controlled substance charges. Considering the Northwest Violent Offender Task Force is involved, he is considered dangerous.

Rotter added to his list of issues by slamming his vehicle into a Task Force member's vehicle as they were attempting to apprehend him in Richland Wednesday.

He fled the scene and remains at large. Anyone who can provide information leading directly to the arrest of Rotter could receive a $1,000 cash reward. To report any tips of information, call 1-800-222-8477.  All leads can remain confidential.
