Benton County Deputies were busy early Wednesday night into Thursday morning.

The action began around 6PM at the Dominos in West Richland. A blue Subaru was stolen from the parking lot, and the victim told Deputies they thought a silver Honda Civic might have been involved in the theft.

The two vehicles were later spotted in Benton City, and after a short chase, the Honda crashed on 9th street with the driver trying to run away. A short chase by Deputies ran down 35-year-old Carl Alstott. He's facing a variety of felonies, including auto theft as the Honda was reported stolen out of Pasco.

Deputies lost track of the blue Subaru Legacy, but then around 2AM Thursday morning, the vehicle was spotted by Kennewick Police, and the driver, 39-year-old Christopher Curtis, was apprehended and is now in jail.

According to reports, an officer on their way to another call spotted the Subaru, with two occupants, and Curtis was detained after being pulled over. The other person's fate is not known.
