Drug Suspect-Thief Picks WRONG Time to Shoplift–In Front of Cops
Wednesday evening, Kennewick officers stopped by Grocery Outlet-Bargain Market on 4th on a routine visit. Periodically they visit various businesses to see how things are going, if they're having security or theft issues etc.
It just so happens when patrol officers were inside the store, this suspect decided it was a good time to shoplift. As expected, security and cameras detected him, and the officers were waiting when he approached the front door to leave.
Not only was the suspect found to have taken numerous items, he is also facing drug charges as police found quite the stash of suspected heroin and other drug items on his person. 29-year-old Blane Michelin is now in the Benton County jail, without his merchandise or drugs.
