A 45-year-old woman is not only facing DUI charges, but probably much more trouble after slamming into not one BUT  TWO police cars late Saturday night.

Kristina Sampson of Lyle, WA was driving on U.S. Highway 97 near Wapato, when around 10pm she drifted onto the shoulder, slamming into the back of a Yakama Nation Tribal Patrol Car. The police car was then knocked into a Washington State Patrol car that was assisting the tribal officer during a traffic stop.

Both vehicles sustained damage, but the two officers were not hurt. Tribal Police Officer Shawn A. Lamebull, and WSP Trooper Derrick Jacobs, were both inside their vehicles when hit, and luckily escaped injury.

Sampson, however sustained enough injuries to be taken to Yakima Regional Medical Center. She was treated, released, and booked in the Yakima County Jail for DUI. The extent of her injuries was not disclosed.
