Kennewick Police say a violent rollover crash near Canal and Edison Monday evening was caused by driver inattention.

Officers who responded said a truck was exiting a private parking lot, and apparently didn't see the while vehicle (pictured) coming by.

The truck slammed into the other rig, sending it rolling several times before coming to a rest on its side. Amazingly the victim driver only sustained minor injuries.

We've noticed lately there appear to be a lot more violent collisions on the streets of Kennewick, and perhaps Richland Pasco.  With the growth of the area, and increased traffic, it's apparently some drivers are just not taking precautions, or paying attention, or are in such a hurry they take chances.

No mention from law enforcement as to what citations, if any, the pickup driver might be facing after this crash.

LOOK: See how much gasoline cost the year you started driving

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.

Read on to explore the cost of gas over time and rediscover just how much a gallon was when you first started driving.
