Fire Consumes Home SE Of Kennewick, Family Escapes

Fortunately, the family was able to be assisted, "rescued" said Benton County Deputies, but the home appears to be a total loss.

The specific address was not listed, but this home off of Sloan Road, about 3 miles Southeast of Kennewick off State Route 397, went up in flames early Friday morning.

Benton County Deputies said the home was nearly fully engulfed when crews arrived, the family was treated for smoke inhalation.  Investigators have begun search for cause of blazed, it is not yet known what started it. But most importantly, the family is safe.
