Upon arrival they found flames billowing from the home, fortunately all the people inside were able to safely escape. From an abundance of caution, police and fire crews evacuated nearby homes, but those people were able to safely return a short time later.

No other structures were affected.  Investigators say the cause of the fire was a kitchen appliance, which triggered the blaze and then it spread quickly out of control.

No word given as to how much damage was done to the home. Fire officials stress to people to make sure they never leave unattended food on a stove, and to make sure all appliances are working properly and safely to avoid situations like this.
