Due to the breezy winds and low humidity in the region, a Fire Watch means that critical weather conditions are forecast to occur.

According to the National Weather Service in Pendleton:

Thursday will be an active weather day. A chance of thunderstorms is also forecast for areas in eastern Oregon and far southeast Washington.

If you are working in outdoor conditions, it's advised that you stay hydrated. Drink lots of WATER.

One more piece of advice, please leave your four-legged friends home in the comfort of A/C if you're so lucky. If your pets are outdoors, make sure they have an ample supply of water. They too have a hard time in this heat!
