Franklin County to Start Irrigation Flows March 25

Spring can't be that far off...

The South Columbia Basin Irrigation District, which serves Franklin and part of Walla Walla Counties, plans to start water flows March 25th.

The District plans to begin in the Mattawa area, Potholes, and Blocks 2 and 3 on that day. Deliveries to the Block 18 East Low Canal System will start March 30th.

Residents/landowners should contact the District to get more precise information as to when they can likely have the water flowing to their areas.

The District says in areas where pumping plants are required for irrigation, pumping dates will start based upon adequate orders to start up the pumping plants.
