When it comes to recent political events, especially gun control,  this respected Senator says Obama is pushing unconstitutional policies.

Ted Cruz of Texas, who was elected to the Senate last November, says Obama is really pushing the limits of his political power.   Making an appearance on Laura Ingraham's nationally syndicated radio show, Cruz addded:

"And I think it's really sad to see the president of the United States exploiting the murder of children and using it to push his own extreme, anti-gun agenda. I think what the president is proposing and the gun control proposals that are coming from Democrats in the Senate are, number one, unconstitutional, and number two, they don't work. They're bad policy."

Cruz does not think Obama will be successful in passing all of the gun restrictions he wants or is hinting at, because, in part, of the political ramifications it could produce for Democratic leaders in 2014.   Cruz believes Obama's ideas will be very uncomfortable for many Democrats who are up for mid-term re-election.  He believes most of these leaders are "very nervous" that Obama is picking this fight over guns, and it will cost him big time after 2014.
