High School Rodeo State Championship Coming to Fairgrounds
Today through Monday the top-performing high school students in Washington state will compete at the rodeo finals at the Benton-Franklin Fairgrounds.
Events include barrel racing, goat tying, breakaway roping, team roping, tie-down roping and bull riding.
The kids have been earning points all season at smaller rodeos. They've qualified to participate in the finals May 22-25 in Kennewick. State champions will be decided and the top finishers will go to the National High School Finals Rodeo in Wyoming in two months.
Admission is free for the event and concessions will be available.
