Highway 97 Crash in Oregon Injures 3 Near Madras – Vehicle Rolled and Flipped [PICTURES]
3 people were sent to area hospitals after the spectacular crash Wednesday morning.
The Oregon State Patrol continues to investigate the serious injury crash 14 miles North of Madras, Oregon on Highway 97. Around 5:08 am a Chevy Blazer was Northbound when it crossed the centerline, onto the shoulder where it rolled once then flipped. One person was ejected from the vehicle and taken to an area hospital.
Their condition is not known, the names of the three people were not released. Possible causes of the vehicle leaving the road are not yet known, or have not been released by the Oregon State Patrol .
UPDATE- Passengers were 17-year old Joseph Gillespie of Dublin CA, 18-year old Trent Martin and Nicholas M. Russel 18, both of Coeur D' Alene Idaho. Russel has been charged with reckless driving, assault in the 3rd. degree, and no valid operators license, and failure to maintain a lane of travel.
