A semi-truck driver from Moses Lake has been found at fault after rear-ending a passenger vehicle on Highway 97 in Oregon Monday.

Oregon State Police report around 8 a.m. a Ford Explorer was stopped and preparing to turn off Highway 97 near Madras (about 50 miles south of The Dalles) when it was struck from behind.

The driver of the SUV, 21-year-old Megan Erickson, was taken to a Bend-area hospital with non-life threatening injuries, but her vehicle was destroyed. The Oregon State Patrol says 45-year-old truck driver David M. Mosebar of Moses Lake apparently was distracted and did not see the vehicle. The impact threw the Ford completely off the highway. Mosebar was cited for careless driving in the accident.
