Kennewick Police released this video from Monday, where a woman makes off with a package while talking on the phone!

WHERE DID THIS HAPPEN, AND WHAT DID SHE SAY?

Police did not give a location, but since the video has audio features, you can faintly hear the woman say "thank you" when you watch it. Double-entendre' because she was talking to someone, and also 'thank you' for the stolen package? This incident said to have happened Monday (Oct. 12).

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

If possible have a trusted friend or neighbor keep an eye out. Let them know when your package is arriving, and they can hold it for you. Or, let the delivery company know a specific somewhat hidden location where they are to put it.

Also, make sure your lights are on, especially if deliveries are coming early morning or late afternoon (dusk).

You can also keep an eye on your neighborhood. Watch for unfamiliar vehicles that seem to be driving a little too casually, especially if the driver or occupants are peering at homes--like people do when they looking for the house number.

ARE THESE PIRATES WORKING IN TEAMS?

Officers say often a scout will drive through a neighborhood, or even walk, looking for homes with packages on the porch and if anyone appears to be home. Then, the thief swoops in a short time later and takes the goods. It may seen a little extreme, but several criminals busted the last few years were working in teams this way.

If you know who this person is, call (509)-628-0333. All leads can be confidential.
