Home Undergoing Renovations Goes Up in Flames, Total Loss

Benton County Fire Crews and Deputies were called to a home on E 1023 Private Road SE Saturday afternoon for a report of a home engulfed in flames. Crews from Benton County Fire District 1 arrived just before 5:30PM.

The home, located just over a mile southwest of the Badger/I-82 interchange, just off Badger Road, was said to be undergoing renovations by the owner. Deputies say there were, fortunately, no injuries, but the fire spread to the point where the structure is considered a total loss.

One of the images seems to show flames having broken through the main roof on top.

Officials didn't say if the owner was working on it at the time, or what the suspected cause was. The incident is under investigation.
