Homeowner Holds Armed Burglars at Gunpoint Til Cops Arrive

Walla Walla County Sheriffs continue to investigate an attempted break in early Sunday morning at a home on State Line Road.

Around 1:12am the homeowner was awakened by his alarm system, and discovered four suspects had broken into his shop, which was located apart from his home.

The man got his firearm, and confronted the suspects, surprising them. Two of them fled on foot, but he held the other two at gunpoint until Sheriffs deputies arrived. Upon further examination of the crime scene and the direction the suspects fled, officers found a handgun nearby. Apparently one of the suspects was armed, but in his apparent panic to get away, dropped the weapon.

The search continues for the two suspects at large.
