Huge Oregon Drug Bust Nets 10 Lbs of Drugs, Cash, Weapons
Two Bridgeport, WA men are in the Klamath County jail after Oregon State Troopers stopped them on Highway 97 and found lots of surprises in their car.
Saturday, shortly before noon, 32-year-old Jose Perfecto Adan De Jesus and 27-year-old Hipolito Adan De Jesus were pulled over in their 2001 Yukon for a traffic violation just North of Klamath Falls on Highway 97.
Troopers suspected they were engaged in illegal activity, especially when the driver, Perfecto, tried to run from the vehicle. He was quickly captured.
A search of their vehicle found 3 pounds of crystal meth, 3.5 pounds of heroin, 2.2 pounds of cocaine, and they had over $66,000 in cash. Troopers also found a semi-automatic pistol in their possession.
The two are in the Klamath County jail on a laundry list of drug related charges, as well as Possession of a Forged Instrument. Authorities didn't say if they believe their working for a larger cartel, but the investigation continues. Possession of a Forged Instrument means papers, documents or other means of identification meant to deceive someone or law enforcement.
