I-82 Shooter Sought After Wounding Other Driver

Authorities continue the search for a suspect, wanted in connection with an early morning shooting on Interstate 82.

Around 5:23am, Benton County Deputies say the unnamed man called 911 to report he had hit by a bullet fired from another car.

Officials say the shooting occurred a couple of miles west of Prosser. The man said a car pulled up alongside to his left, and the suspect, 25-year-old Daniel Solis of Sunnyside, leaned out and discharged his weapon.

Officials did not say if there was any connection between Solis and the victim, they say the driver was a 17-year-old boy, apparently they have information on him as well.

The search continues now for Solis, anyone who may have information is urged to call (509)-628-0333. All leads can be confidential.  Authorities did not say if the victim sustained any serious wounds, but they are not believed to be life-threatening.
