SB5909 GETS A HEARING--IT WOULD LIMIT INSLEE'S EMERGENCY POWERS

The bill, while not as wide as some would like, is perhaps the most serious attempt to reign in the out-of-control actions of Governor Inslee since the pandemic began.

It's not as far-reaching as the GOP would like, but it's probably the only such bill that has a chance of passing due to Democratic control of the House, and a slim margin in the State Senate.

It's important that we citizens pass on our opinions to legislators, despite cynicism from some voters, an avalanche of comments and response does make a difference. A good example is the Board of Health meeting a couple of weeks ago, where a firestorm of citizen input about potential COVID 'detention centers' and adding COVID to the list of childhood K-12 vaccines drew overwhelming resistance.
