Jewelry Thieves Cut Hole in Floor, Run When Noise Alerts Neighbors
Kennewick Police are still investigating, and determining what -if any- merchandise was stolen in an early morning break-in at a jewelry store.
Around 5:25AM Tuesday morning, police were called to Garland's Goldworx in the 3900 block of West Clearwater, in the Townsquare Strip Mall just east of the new Dutch Bros.
They say they're searching for two suspects, who reportedly entered by sawing a hole in the floor of the crawl space underneath. However, business owners who were in early nearby in the strip mall complex heard the ruckus and called 911.
The two dashed out the back of the store, ran to a car and fled the scene. Police say they were obviously after jewelry, but it's not yet known if they got any before being interrupted.
