Kennewick Police Need Your Help to Find Stolen Vehicle & Suspects [VIDEO]
Kennewick Police are searching for stolen vehicle
Kennewick Police responded to a welfare check Saturday afternoon at Walmart on Quillan Street at about 1:43 pm. The reporting party advised that there was a male and female in the car with suspected narcotics. It appeared that the suspects were passed out.
Suspects were nodding off
Upon arrival, Police observed the occupants nodding off, consistent with drug use. As officers knocked on the window, the male driver started the vehicle and attempted to escape the parking lot. There were several individuals with children close by. The suspect struck several parked cars and a Police vehicle.
According to a statement from Police:
The suspect vehicle struck several parked civilian vehicles. The driver attempted to drive between two parked cars however, he was unsuccessful. Patrol officers had to quickly move out of the way to avoid being struck by the vehicle. The driver then reversed again, striking one of the patrol vehicles, going forward once more and striking civilian vehicles, and then reversed and struck a second patrol vehicle.
What Police are looking for
After investigation, it was determined the vehicle was stolen. The car is a 2008 Chevrolet HHR with WA License plate BYA9314. The car has damage to the front and back.
