Meals On Wheels Fundraiser Cancelled Over Coronavirus Concerns

Officials with Meals on Wheels say service and regular operations will NOT be affected or adjusted, but they are cancelling their fundraising public breakfast.

The 5th annual breakfast had the theme "Delivering Kindness" this year, but officials say they are following Centers for Disease Control and Washington State Health Department recommendations that people should avoid large crowds to help prevent the spread of the virus.

Officials say the do not want to further any concerns or 'panic' among the public, they are simply following what they said are these guidelines.  Other fund raising efforts are being looked at by the group.

The event had been scheduled for March 10th.
