We recently told you about a new study that listed the 10 best cities in Washington to raise a child that snubbed eastern Washington.

Recently, the respected financial magazine Kiplinger's released a study that shows Richland is among the top 10!

Kiplinger says families can very comfortably and points out the educational, geographical and other advantages of the Tri-Cities.

From the report:

Students at schools such as Lewis & Clark and White Bluffs Elementary perennially outperform their peers on state standardized tests. Plus, there's plenty to keep an active family entertained. The region boasts a family fishing pond, a splash park, a quarter-acre 'playground of dreams' and 300 sunny days a year."
Among the criteria they used were average family income, number of playgrounds and recreational areas for children, percentage of families with children, and average educational spending per-child. They also salute our warm, sunny weather.
