Across our great nation we gather every year to celebrate the land of the free and the home of the brave. Independence Day is upon us, and if you're like me, you may not have solidified plans yet. It seems like there's so much pressure to have something awesome to do on this day! But don't worry! I've made a list of really cool events going on in and around the TC this 4th. So check the list and plan accordingly! Happy birthday, America!!
River of Fire- Full day of fun events in Columbia Park on July 4th!!! There will be a beer garden across from the bleachers in Columbia Park operated by the Mizuno Maniacs Baseball Club. Hours of operation are 3:00PM–9:30PM. Chris Loid and Green Light Polly, a Country band, will play on the stage beginning at 3:00PM. Food concessions, vendors and kid’s activities will be available in the East end of Columbia Park beginning at 12:00 noon. Catch a ride & tour the Park on the J&S Dreamland Express thanks to BNSF Railway. Fireworks to start at 10pm!
Speeches That Shaped America- The Richland Players are pleased to present their second annual celebration of Historical Speeches on Independence Day. Local actors will present a combination of patriotic speeches, songs and poetry. This is a perfect family friendly break in your Independence Day Celebrations to celebrate America’s history. Admission is free—donations accepted.Location: The Fingernail at Howard Amon Park, Richland. Bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit on. Water is recommended.
Camp Patriot 4th of July Fun Run- Get to Gesa Stadium on July 4th! 100 pound club starts at 7:30am, 5k, 1mile start at 8:00. Register by June 15th to confirm your shirt size. All veterans receive a free gift at the finish line. Click here to register!
Hapo's Grand Old 4th of July Parade- Celebrate our nation's independence with Hapo's Grand Old 4th of July Parade. The parade will start on 4th Ave near Sylvester Street and head west to 14th Ave. There it will go south past Memorial Park.
Fourth of July in the Park (Walla Walla)- Walla Walla will celebrate America’s independence with a classic, family-friendly annual 4th of July in the Park celebration. The annual, day-long event takes over historic Pioneer Park , 940 E. Alder Street, in Walla Walla on Wednesday, July 4 from 10 am to 5 pm. and includes local music, entertainment, arts and crafts, food trucks, as well as local businesses, community service clubs, emergency responders, political candidates and more. Admission is free.
Cherry and Berry Days- The season everyone waits for all year long at Bill's Berry Farm ...fresh Cherries and Berries! With four varieties of Sweet Cherries and one Tart Cherry along with Certified Organic Blueberries and Raspberries, it's hard to beat! Take a hayride to the field and enjoy some cherry and berry deliciousness! They'll also have tasty BBQ and famous Cherry or Blueberry Donuts straight from the fryer! For the kids, Bill's has two farm Playgrounds, an Animal Farm, and the popular Barnyard Train. Older kids and parents will get a kick out of our Apple Slingshots.
Cardboard Regatta- Do you have what it takes to sail across the pool? This whacky 4th of July event uses your creativity to build a boat made of corrugated cardboard. A complete list of rules will be available upon registration. There are two age groups 5-12 and 13+ and you must pre-register online at www.pascoparksandrec.com
Thunder on the Island with Rail and Blue Tattoo- 4th of July Thunder on the Island with Blue Tattoo and Rail! Free and family friendly, music starts at 6pm. BBQ and Beverages available for purchase. Featuring Ice Harbor Brewery in the 21 and over bar area. Thanks to our partners; Gesa, Port of Kennewick, Sotheby's and Ice Harbor Brewery.
Hayden Homes' Grand Old 4th Fireworks- Hayden Homes' Grand Old 4th Fireworks show will be one to remember! Don't miss out on this FREE event! Show up early to watch the entertainment, gates open at 6:00 pm.
Wet & Dry Fun Inflatables- Enjoy the 4th of July and stop by our Fun Inflatables in the Southwest corner of Memorial Park. There will be fun for the whole family! While you're there, stop by a food vendor or check out the Camp Patriot Show & Shine Car Show!
