No Seatbelt, Going Too Fast, WSP Says of Killed 7 Year Old
Among the 163 crashes in Tri-Cities Monday night was a tragedy that roared through the community.
7 year-old Brynn Sullivan wasn't wearing a seatbelt when the car driven by her mother, Crystal, rolled over near Country Mercantile in the Pasco area.
Her three siblings were not hurt in the crash. Brynn was not wearing a seatbelt and died. Troopers noted in the report that Crystal, 36, was driving too fast for the snowy conditions that swept through the Columbia Basin.
In Yakima, 137 crashes were investigated before this morning. For the Tri-Cities and Yakima areas, there were 300 crashes.
Drive carefully. Drive slowly. Drive too slowly even. Show up late if you have to, but show up. Please wear your seatbelt. Make sure your children and babies are securely strapped in with seatbelts and car seats.
