The attack occurred October 22nd,  on a motorist who had stopped to check on a possible flat tire.

Oregon State Patrol officials say just after 8:30 pm, the driver was headed West when he pulled his Subaru passenger car to the shoulder just East of Pendleton on I-84 to check on the tire, when he was assaulted by two men.

The motorist said as he was looking at the tire,  he noticed a maroon 1990's style Ford Mustang with California plates had pulled in behind him.   Two men jumped from the car, assaulted the driver, stealing his wallet.  He sustained minor injuries.

The suspects were both white males, ages about 35-40.  Both looked to be around 5' 10" and around 200 lbs.  One suspect had dark hair, a dark beard, and wearing a red flannel shirt. The second also had dark hair, a moustache and wearing a black hoodie.

The men then jumped in the car and fled West, towards Pendelton.   Anyone with any potential information is asked to report it to the Oregon State Patrol at 541-276-2121.   Officials say traffic at that time was brisk, and several cars did pass by during the incident.
