Tuesday night, Pasco and Kennewick police and the Washington State Patrol were pretty occupied pursuing a Ford Explorer, whose driver turned out to be rather intoxicated.

A Grandview man was behind the wheel of this nice looking Ford Explorer, but the problem was, it didn't belong to him. Pasco police notified Kennewick officers they were in pursuit of him, but turned the chase over when the suspect sped over the Blue Bridge.

WSP officers and Kennewick took up the pursuit. After the driver temporarily evaded them, he was later spotted on foot near Yelm and Canal, trying to find a place to hide. Francisco Estrada, 29, was arrested and taken into custody. He's facing trespassing charges besides possession of a stolen vehicle and DUI. He had previously been identified by witnesses as the one driving the vehicle.

Officers didn't immediately say how he came into possession of the stolen SUV, but he's facing a lot of time in jail. No one was injured in the chase. The vehicle was found abandoned at Clearwater and Buntin streets, with a flat tire.
