Random Car Wreck Leads To Armed Gang Members Arrest

Kennewick police have released more information over the weekend about a gang related accident and arrests that occurred on November 15.

In the early morning hours of that day, police received a 911 call from a driver who said another vehicle had sped by them, and struck their car while it was parked. Police were able to get a description of the suspect vehicle.

Shortly after 1am, the car was found near West 5th and South Kent. Officers pulled it over and found three juveniles inside, two of them wearing gang clothing. Under a sweatshirt in the back seat police found a shotgun!

The car, turns out, was reported stolen shortly before the accident was reported. Multiple charges are now pending for the juveniles. Police have not said if the youth were planning on any actions using the shotgun.
