Reckless Driver Dumps Car Into Irrigation Canal, Earns Ticket Not Trophy

The driver, say Kennewick police, was cited for reckless driving, and gets a hefty tow bill too.

Wednesday morning, police say 37-year-old Stephen M Knighton was driving his Dodge Durango near the 500 block of West 16th.

Police say he was trespassing by driving on the KID canal access road. He lost control and plopped his SUV into the ditch. Police say it took two trucks to get him out. He gets a hefty citation for his driving, and trespassing charges as well. No one was injured in the mishap.
