Roundabout vs. Drunk Motorcyclist Equals ER Trip, Jail

No followup information has been released on the outcome of the rider's visit to Kadlec Medical Center, but police say the man was impaired.

Just minutes after midnight Sunday morning Richland police responded to the roundabout near Citrus and Oahu Streets, where a motorcycle rider had failed to negotiate the curved circle.

Police say the unnamed 31-year-old apparently hit the curb and dumped the bike, coming to a rest in the middle of the roundabout. He was taken to Kadlec for treatment, police say alcohol was a factor in the crash. It's presumed charges will be coming following the investigation.

It seems Kennewick isn't the only place where impaired drivers have been driving THROUGH instead of around the roundabouts.
