See-Saw Driver Blows Over Twice Legal Limit for DUI — There’s More
Sunday afternoon, Pasco Police responded to THIS unusual looking crash.
Officers arrived near the intersection of East Dock Street and South Road 18 East, and found this teeter totter car. The driver, whose name was not released, really did a number.
The driver apparently tried to make a turn, and missed...badly. Neither he nor his passenger or the dog riding with them were hurt, but the driver was found to have committed a laundry list of infractions, including:
- 2 field sobriety tests came back at nearly 2 1/2 times the legal limit for alcohol DUI.
- He was driving on a suspended license without insurance.
- He didn't have an interlock device on the car he was using -- legal requirement for previous issues.
- And, the trip permit he was using was expired and illegal.
Pasco Police said they know most people don't do this, don't drive illegal and don't commit these kind of offenses. But there are those who do, and that's part of the reason why they are out there working. I'll say!
