According to Pasco police, it might have been postings on social media, or else when the thieves heard who the bike belonged to, they returned it.

Pasco police had posted on their Facebook page about a 3rd grade special needs child whose bike was stolen from a locked shed. The child was devastated as the bike played a big role in their life, as well as helping them deal with their life situation.

After a  day or so, police now report two Hispanic males dressed in all black clothing dropped the bike off in front of a home on Hopkins street and fled. The resident noticed the bike and had seen the Pasco PD post. They called it in, and the bike has been returned to it's owner.

So, good that they get their bike back, and good that for whatever reasons (guilt or pressure) the thieves returned it.
