Tragically 2 Southridge High School students took their own lives this past week. First I would like to offer my deepest condolences to both boy's families, I can't even imagine the grief you must be feeling. Second I wanted to let John and Ben's classmates know there is help available...Today June 20,2016
Yesterday the Principle of Southridge posted this:
Southridge High School Community,
In the past week, we have lost the lives of two of our students. A young person’s death is always tragic, and sudden losses like this can have a profound effect on surviving students. It is important that we recognize these losses and offer help. This is a sensitive issue, and we suggest that if you are a parent that you talk to your children about their feelings. We have arranged for counselors to be available at the school from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday to talk to students about grief.
On behalf of our Southridge family, we extend our sincere condolences to the families of these students during this most difficult time.
Sincerely,
Principal Molly Hamaker-Teals
Again my condolences to the families and friends.
