Sunday, Benton County Deputies were alerted by some citizens about a vehicle seen in an irrigation canal near the intersection of Apricot and Griffin Roads, about 2-3 miles northwest of Prosser.

Upon arrival Deputies found the vehicle was indeed stuck, couldn't be driven out, but was only partially in the water and not submerged.

However, a check of the plates and tabs showed it had recently been reported stolen out of Sunnyside. The vehicle had been abandoned, no one with it when it was found. Sunnyside Police are now in charge of the investigation.

No word if any suspects, but somebody obviously needs a driving lesson!
