Suspicious Driver Busted for Role in Hit And Run Accident
Early Monday morning, a suspicious driver turned out to be wanted for his role in a hit and run accident.
Kennewick police were called to the neighborhood of 3400 West Hood for a report of a suspicious car parked in that block. Police made contact with the strange behaving driver, identified as 25-year-old Andrew Schmitt.
At the same time, a few blocks away, police were called to a report of a hit and run. They then put 2-2 together and found Schmitt was the driver who slammed into the other car, then drove away.
He's now in jail for hit and run.
