Apple maggots are fast spreading, stubborn and very hard to eradicate, say Douglas County Officials. Inslee's numerous crates of apples from Governor's mansion may result in spread of insects in 'clean' growing zones.
One would think his 'handlers' (advisors) would know enough to remind him you can't legally transport apples from infested Western WA, to clean zones on the East Side. Beyond the technical law, it exposes voracious pests to our clean crops.
You've probably heard about the semi-truck wreck up along the Columbia River on Highway 243, not too far North of Priest Rapids Dam in Grant County. The highway runs alongside the river, very close in some areas. The accident has created a new dilemma for the State Patrol, Grant County officials and the Grant County PUD.
