Critics of the bill point to test score drops, and other learning definciencies blamed on COVID, and say this bill would not help students close the learning gap.
Besides in-class 'traditional' schooling, the Kennewick School District plans to vastly increase online learning options, including even naming it's coming "online" high school.
The plan is to begin elementary education in class (in part) on or around Oct. 26. Meanwhile, we've learned a large group of parents are looking at, or have begun to pursue some sort of legal action against the District.
We in the Tri-Cities are blessed with more than one alternative high school, where students can pursue non-traditional educational platforms. But up in the Yakima Valley, one city is losing theirs.
