There is a new scam in Washington State and these are the things you need to know so you don't fall victim to it.

Seely says now patrol officers in Yakima have been asked to "be mindful of this collision-causing behavior and either cite or educate where appropriate."

Don't try to run the light just after it turns red. Here's what can happen.

The driver of the upside down SUV hit the trifecta of citations in Sunday morning's crash that snarled traffic near 4th and Edison: Shortly before 10am police responded to a three-vehicle crash and found this SUV on its lid. Turns out the driver was operating without a valid license, no insurance, AND they ran the red light (which triggered the crash)...

Wednesday morning Kennewick police responded to a multi-car crash at 10th and South Vancouver streets. According to officers, the driver of the small pickup pictured ran a red light, and struck another vehicle. That car then bounced off another vehicle in the intersection, creating the 3 vehicle crash...

Wednesday afternoon, the intersection of 10th and Edison was snarled after a two-vehicle crash resulted in minor injuries. Police say the driver of the truck, who was cited for Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device, hit the sedan in the right front...

Fortunately, the officer driving was treated and released at Kadlec after suffering several injuries.

Judging from some of the comments made on the Kennewick police Facebook page, we're not the only ones who think a lot of people run lights at this busy Kennewick intersection.

According to witnesses who commented on the accident, they were amazed no ambulances were required!
