According to witnesses who commented on the accident, they were amazed no ambulances were required!

Shortly after 9pm Tuesday night at the intersection of West Gage and North Steptoe, a vehicle ran a right light, and blasted into another vehicle.

Police say a red Hyundai Santa Fe shot through the red light, hitting a 2010 Pontiac four-door hatchback. There were apparently only minor injuries. According to one person who posted on the KPD Facebook page, a witness:

"I witnessed this last night...the red car was right in front of me and I was shocked as I watched as the car went right through a solid red light!! The impact was a powerful sight to watch :( The noise, the pieces of cars everywhere....I have never witnessed anything like this before :( Was relieved no ambulances were necessary !"

No mention in the initial report of any citations, but it is almost certain the Hyundai driver will be at least cited for failure to yield and running a red light. The investigation continues.
