September 21 is not that far away...!

The Tri-City Americans embark on their 26th year of Western Hockey League action when they open the 2013-14 season September 21 with a kick-off game vs. Spokane. Sunday, the 22nd, the Ams will host Prince George.

The schedule is split rather evenly this season, with 18 home games before and after the Winter Break, the brief time-out from the season for Christmas.   And even better, 26 of the home games will be played either Friday, Saturday, or Sunday - making the Americans an even more attractive weekend entertainment plan.

Tri-City will take it's long road trip through the Central Division this year (Edmonton, Red Deer, Calgary, Medicine Hat, Lethbridege and Kootenay), and the trip will be split.  3 of those games before, and three after the Winter Break.  That's a favorable schedule for a lengthy trip.

The Americans will also host all of the Eastern Division teams at Toyota Center this season, with visits from Brandon, Moose Jaw, Prince Albert, Regina, Saskatoon, and Swift Current.

And of course, Am's fans will see plenty of Spokane, as the Chiefs and Americans will face each other 12 times!  They will take on Portland and Seattle in 10 games, and Everett for 8.
