A search is on for this suspect, accused of theft and then a serious brawl with a Richland Police officer.

26-year-old Noah Detloff of Richland is being sought for his role in an altercation in Richland Monday.

Police were dispatched to the 2900 block of Queensgate for a report of a theft. The first officer who arrived spotted the suspect, Detloff, but he tried to escape. The struggle escalated into the parking lot, where he managed to free himself and jump into a waiting getaway vehicle.

Police did not say but it's presumed the theft was from one of the many businesses in this area.

  Fortunately, the officer was not seriously hurt

As the getaway car left, it struck the officer. He did not sustain any serious injuries but did require some treatment at a nearby hospital.  Detloss's whereabouts are not known,  anyone with any information is urged to call (509)-628-0333. All leads can be confidential.
