Theft Victim Crashes Car Into Suspect Vehicle

Monday night, a wild chase resulted in a Kennewick couple facing a lot of charges stemming from a purse theft.

Police say a woman parked near the Columbia Center Mall was in her vehicle when a man approached her asking for a cigarette. When she told him she didn't smoke, he reached in through the passenger window and grabbed her purse. He then fled to a getaway car.

However, the victim gave chase to the suspects, and it finally ended near Gage and Pittsburgh when both vehicles crashed into each other! The two suspects jumped out of the disabled vehicle.  One of the suspects then fled towards the nearby Buffalo Wings Restaurant but she was captured by police. The other male suspect got away on foot.

The woman, who's facing a list of charges, refused to ID the man for police. The search for him continues, and the victim got her purse back with all her belongings.
